Doesn't the blogger just want a euphemism?

I do love how vigorous Israelis criticisms of their government is, as shown by the comments on the post you linked to. Just goes to show again that the Jewish state is a beacon in the Middle East.

There were two parts to the State's case against the two activists, yet the blog you link to cites only the first part, which refers to political positions:

"For its part, the state said that Marti and Chappell belong to the International Solidarity Movement, an organization "that supports an ideology that is anti-Zionist, pro-Palestinian and universally revolutionary."

And remains silent about the second part:

"The state maintained: "The organization's activists are involved in activities against the security forces in areas of friction in Judea and Samaria and East Jerusalem."

It is a sort of subterfuge. It is not even "out of context". It is simply not telling the whole truth which in legal context would be considered perjury. I know that readers rarely bother to read linked sources when a quote is provided.

I wish that those engaged in any sort of public writing felt bound by a code of ethics perhaps not as strident as in legal cases but at least observing of basic human decency and the concept of fair play.
