But I don't share your view of political Islamism -- which is, after all, a 20th century phenomenon -- as fundamentally inseparable from Islam as such. And no, the confrontation between the democratic West and radical Islamism is not a repetition of the Crusades. Such crude, sweeping claims neither bear historical scrutiny nor contribute much to the cause of activists like El Qemany. “This has been the goal since Islam was founded.”

Radical Islam is dangerous, and we definitely need to speak up for El Qemany. But I don’t share your view of political Islamism — which is, after all, a 20th century phenomenon — as fundamentally inseparable from Islam as such. And no, the confrontation between the democratic West and radical Islamism is not a repetition of the Crusades. Such crude, sweeping claims neither bear historical scrutiny nor contribute much to the cause of activists like El Qemany.

El Qemany and his family, and all who cherish freedom, that they may be protected from those who intend to do them harm. Let us do what we can politically, prayerfully, and with all other means try to help him and those in similiar situations. If he needs refuge, let us give it to him. We too, are in danger of Radical Islam. Radical Islam is a threat to everyone who does not adhere to it. It's goal is to take over the world. To destroy the Western way of life-the USA, democracies-ISRAEL. And anyone who stands in it's way. This has been the goal since Islam was founded, the Ottoman Empire Strikes again-their agenda has never changed. Americans are sleeping. We have islamic terrorists in our own backyards now, converting our people-training them to kill, destroy, lie, cheat, murder for the sake of a very sick religious ideology. We have to educate our people to the dangers of this real threat. They are trying to destroy us from within. We need to pray for Dr. S.M.
