Over at Harry’s Place, habibi congratulates UK pundit Iain Dale for announcing that he will no longer appear on Press TV, the Holocaust-denying mouthpiece of the Iranian regime which masquerades as a legitimate news outlet. And The Times has an excellent piece here. It’s clear that Press TV, which is based in west London, is violating UK broadcasting regulations. The UK government must act - and shut it down.

This comment is not directly related to this post, but I am writing to make known that I have just signed an internet petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/ai2d2009/petition.html) which has been posted by, according to Melanie Philips, who is someone with many of whose views I don’t agee, but with whose views about the situation that Israel is in, and about the Islamic-Supremacist ideology and political movement, I agree completely, Amil Imani, who is a an Iranian pro-democracy anti-Islamic-Supremacist advocate who lives in the United States, to engage in a non-violent campaign to stop the violence against the protesters in Iran who are seeking freedom, and to end the rule of the totalitarian Islamic-Supremacist regime currently in power in Iran. The petition lists many things which can be done as part of that campaign.
I received a confirmation e-mail message from the petition web site, and it lists Amil Imani as the author of the petition, and it provides his e-mail address.
