Welcome to Z Word

I had thought about writing a long post about Z Word’s purpose. But on reflection, I will let the site speak for itself.

All that remains is to thank a number of sterling individuals who contributed to our launch. Joe Mendels, for his wise counsel; Paul Berman, for his powerful talk to the group we convened to discuss Z Word before we even had the name; Dan Yurman, for his expert guidance in our planning process; Samantha Karlin, for her boundless enthusiasm in navigating through the fog of designing, commissioning and editing; Tara McNulty, for her insights on design and branding; Amanda Haas, for keeping us administratively intact; Matthew, Jim, April, Chad, Zoya and Guang at SBG, a wonderful outfit whom it’s been a sheer joy to work with; Edward, Eve, Elif, Rafal, Norm, David, Gene and Steve for honoring us with their contributions as we launch; and the staff of the American Jewish Committee, for their support and encouragement.

To them all, our deepest thanks. Any shortcomings are ours alone.

I guess I should leave a comment now I am here.

Congratulations to Ben and the team for getting this site underway. I look forward to reading, I hope, many interesting and thoughtful articles.

    Warm regards

Congratulations with the new place and thanks for the link, it is going to be reciprocated shortly.

Oh, and do heed Ami’s admonition not to link to all kinds of you know who/what unless strictly necessary.
